Abiding in Truth has a heart for the Kingdom of God and believers everywhere. It was started as a result of Damon, and his wife Kylie, being launched into a church-planting and disciple-making network in 2019 that helped chart a new path for their life. Since then, they have been actively pursuing #NoPlaceLeft that has not been reached with the Gospel of Jesus. We believe that the body of Christ, in our city and beyond, can labor together to make the name of Jesus known and glorified. Part of the way this is accomplished is by bringing all believers to fully mature in Christ (Col. 1:28-29). The other part to the equation is by equipping believers to reach non-believers and begin discipling those new believers.

Our belief is that one of the best ways to help see maturity in the body of Christ is to receive biblically based counsel and direction. We believe that looking to the perfect Word of God for our methods, practices, teachings, wisdom, and philosophies is the only way to do for the full glory of God. In pursuit of sound doctrine and biblical counsel, Damon has received his bachelor’s degree in Biblical Counseling from Liberty University, is currently pursuing his Biblical Counseling certification through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), as well as pursuing his Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Faith Bible Seminary in Lafayette, IN.

Damon and Kylie reside in Bluffton, IN and are desiring to see as many people reached there, as well as, to the ends of the earth with the Gospel. They have spent considerable time in the San Francisco Bay Area and have grown in love with the diverse population that lives there. They also lived in Memphis, TN for a short season where they were initially exposed to the growing movement of simple, reproducible churches that find their example and pattern in the book of Acts. The life-on-life discipleship and brotherhood that they experienced modeled for them a new way of living out their identities in Christ,

We exist to be a service to the community that all churches, believers, businesses, and families can benefit from and contribute to. Discipleship, ministry, lay counseling, and mentoring are all necessary to the Kingdom of God, and Abiding in Truth seeks to be a piece to the puzzle within the Bluffton community and beyond by offering formal biblical counsel.
